Giving Back to the Community

At Lakeside Hearing, we believe in showing up, pitching in, and giving back in ways that make a real difference. Over the years, we’ve supported local programs, partnered with meaningful causes, and invested our time and resources into the people around us. Click each toggle below to see how we stay connected and contribute to the place we call home.

As dedicated members and sponsors of both Rotary Lake Country and Rotary Kelowna, we actively engage in community events, helping to foster local development and connection. We also annually sponsor the Rotary Ride for Hearing, which supports St. Paul’s Hospital, furthering our impact on community health and hearing care.

A cornerstone of our commitment, these giveaways have significantly enhanced the quality of life for many.

We proudly support BrainTrust, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and resources for individuals with brain injuries. Our involvement helps to fund and facilitate educational and rehabilitation events, enhancing community health and awareness.

By sponsoring this event, we aid in raising funds for guide dogs, providing vital assistance to those with hearing impairments (and more), and fostering greater independence.

We participated in this exhilarating event to raise funds and awareness for the Special Olympics, demonstrating our commitment to supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities.

We maintain a strong presence at numerous health fairs across Lake Country and Kelowna, offering complimentary hearing screenings and cleanings at local care homes, and ensuring accessible hearing care services for the elderly and underserved.

For those whose traditional hearing aids are no longer sufficient, we offer a unique opportunity to learn about implantable hearing solutions. Bowen Tang from Cochlear Americas hosts free office hours at our Kelowna Clinic, providing a personalized setting to explore these advanced options.

We have been a long-term sponsor of this vibrant cultural event, promoting local art and community engagement through our continuous support.

Enhancing the auditory experience for theatergoers, we funded the installation of a T-coil loop system at Creekside Theatre. This technology transmits sound electromagnetically, directly to hearing aids and cochlear implants, providing clearer, more accessible audio performances. Additionally, we have expanded this initiative to include the Kelowna Library, ensuring that more public spaces are accessible and inclusive.

For the past four years, we have been honoured as one of the top three audiologists in the Best of Kelowna awards, a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence in hearing care. We were voted the best Hearing Clinic in Kelowna with the GOLD award in 2025.

We’re active members of both the Kelowna and Lake Country Chambers of Commerce. It’s one of the ways we stay connected, support local businesses, and contribute to the economic and social wellbeing of the region we’re proud to call home.

We were proud to support Sean Kyte, a long-time Lakeside Hearing client, as he represented Canada at the 2025 World Deaf Ice Hockey Championships in Vancouver. Organized by the Canadian Deaf Sports Association (CDSA), this event brings together elite Deaf and Hard of Hearing athletes from around the world. Our sponsorship helped cover Sean’s travel and tournament costs, allowing him to compete without financial burden. It’s just one way we stand behind the incredible individuals in our community—on and off the ice. Watch his Instagram video here!
